How do I authorize my computer or device to read an ebook from the Theological Libraries Ebook Lending Project?

• For Windows, Linux or Mac Laptops and desktops, install Adobe Digital Editions.

The first time you launch Adobe Digital Editions on your computer, or Bluefire Reader on your mobile device, you will be prompted to authorize your computer or device with an Adobe ID.  If you don't already have an Adobe ID, register for free here.  You will then be able to enter your Adobe ID into Adobe Digital Editions or the Bluefire Reader.

• For iPads, install the Odilo app.  Once you have downloaded the app, look for "ATLA Libraries" under the list of libraries and select Grace College & Seminary and log in with your Grace login.  The catalog of available ebooks will then be visible.

What device can I use to read an ebook -- my personal laptop, my desktop computer, my tablet, or my phone?

You can read an ebook on any personal device in any combination of up to 6 computers or devices.  The only requirement is to download and authorize the appropriate reader software. You won't be able to download an ebook to a public computer, but you can read it online.

How do I borrow an ebook from the Theological Libraries Ebook Lending Project?

If you find an ebook that is in the Theological Libraries Ebook Lending Project database, you can click on the Borrow button to "check out" the book from the electronic library.

You will need to log in at this point.  Select Grace College and Seminary from the Library list and enter your Grace campus login. 

How do I return an ebook before the due date?

• If you have not downloaded the ebook, click the "Return Now" button in your list of checked out items.
• In Adobe Digital Editions, right-click on the ebook and choose "Return Borrowed Item."  You will get a message verifying that you want to return the item.
• In Bluefire Reader, go to the info screen for the ebook and tap "Return Item."
