The Agricultural Network Information Center (AgNIC) is a voluntary alliance of the National Agricultural Library (NAL), land-grant Universities and other agricultural organizations, in cooperation with citizen groups and government agencies.
AGRICOLA (AGRICultural OnLine Access), produced by the National Agricultural Library (NAL), consists of two subsets of records. Citations for journal articles that include abstracts and bibliographic records describing monographs, serials, audiovisual materials and online content from around the world. AGRICOLA records describe publications and resources encompassing all aspects of agriculture and allied disciplines, including animal and veterinary sciences, entomology, plant sciences, forestry, aquaculture and fisheries, farming and farming systems, agricultural economics, extension and education, food and human nutrition, and earth and environmental sciences.
AGRICOLA (AGRICultural OnLine Access), produced by the National Agricultural Library (NAL), database contains 5,200,000+ records and includes printed works from as far back as the 15th century.
Both data sets are updated daily with newly cataloged and indexed materials. Each may be searched separately, or the two may be searched together.
AGRIS is the international information system for the agricultural sciences and technology. It was created by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in 1974, to facilitate information exchange and to bring together world literature dealing with all aspects of agriculture. Topics covered include forestry, animal husbandry, aquatic science and fisheries, and human nutrition. AGRIS indexes articles, unpublished scientific and technical reports, theses, conference papers, and government publications dated 1975 to the present. Site also available in Arabic, Chinese, French, and Spanish.
