Heat Transfer

Research Assignment

By Friday, November 3, conduct library research on your project as follows:
First, reduce your project to one or two research questions.
Second, find a time to meet with Ms. Carrie Halquist, Student Engagement Librarian, or Miriam Liethen, Electronic Services Librarian, in the Morgan library. With respect to your proposal, which you might take with you, briefly explain orally what is your project is and why it interests you.
Third, work with Halquist to search for answers to your question(s), which can either be a recent technical paper on the subject, a history of its development or application, or a classic paper from long ago that addresses your project.
Finally, have Halquist initial this form and attach it to a one-page MS Word summary of your library research experience and results, due to me on Monday, November 6.

Research Guide Purpose

This research guide is designed to assist future scholars in search of prevalent heat transfer knowledge. The information within this guide is divided into two categories: recent and classical, where recent is defined as being published within the past 20 years, and classical is considered an authoritative heat transfer publication. Further, the recent category is subdivided into four sections: conduction, convection, radiation, and application. Each section contains an annotated bibliography of scholarly sources to explain their significance. Overall, the use of this guide shall enable its user to efficiently locate pertinent heat transfer literature in hopes of producing a greater understanding of this complex subject.
