Claude.ai  - can perform complex cognitive tasks, transcribe and analyze images, generate code, and translate between languages.

ChatGPT You can try ChatGPT for free as of the writing of this piece.  https://chat.openai.com/  Look for the “Try me” button.  Sign up.  You can put in a prompt and then ask for changes in “conversation” with the AI.  This is the AI that has been getting a lot of recent attention.

Gemini - "a conversational Ai tool by Google. Formerly Google Bard.  Advanced version free for 2 months

MoonBeam.  “Never write from scratch again” https://www.gomoonbeam.com/  Create a paper step-by-step using MoonBeam by starting a topic, providing keywords, creating an outline, etc. Currently, the price is $249/year - (January 2024]

Rewind -  - a dedicated AI writing Assistant. Free version and a Pro version ($228/yr; $29/mo)  Currently only available for Apple products  "Rewind works by capturing what you read in Safari and importing your screenshots.  This lets you leverage the power of AI to ask Rewind any question about anything you've seen, including summarizing for you."

Bing's CoPilot - Microsoft's version of an AI assistant

ChatGPT for Google A Google browser extension that provides search results from ChatGPT along with search results from Google.  chatgpt4google.com  [Keep in mind that ChatGPT can produce errors of fact!]

Elicit.org – Sign up for a free account.  You can “ask a research question” or go to “tasks” – and in “tasks” you can brainstorm a research question.  Elicit will give you research questions based on your input.  Pick a question – and go back to the Elicit search page and type in the question you selected.  You will get a list of papers related to your topic – and you can export the list – and more!  https://elicit.org   (Also listed below)
