EBSCO has free apps for E-books, Audio books and article searching.  However, if you just go through a browser search, EBSCO automatically gives you a mobile view on a smart phone.  Tablets usually do not default to the mobile view, but keep you on the desktop view unless you download and use the mobile app.

GALE has free apps for Apple and Android devices for searching their products.    add a link or search instructions?

JSTOR will also automatically recognize your mobile device and present a modified format for your screen size.

LexisNexis has apps for searching on mobile devices.

SAGE automatically redirects you to a mobile version of their journals and search pages.
